HCACR runs 3 annual county wide striking contests, details of each can be found below. Individual districts also hold their own local contests.
Kimpton Cup – 6 bells
The Kimpton Cup was the first Hertfordshire ringing competition, held at Kimpton in October 1959. The trophy was a solid silver cup given by the Kimpton ringers to mark the occasion.
Held on the last Saturday of September, location rotating through the 6 districts and Kimpton itself in the 7th year. Open to 2 towers from each district, usually the winner and runner-up from district competitions.
Coburn Trophy – 8 bells
Held on the last Saturday of June.
10 Bell Contest
The first county 10 Bell Contest was held in 2025.
