The Eastern District extends along the A10 from Cheshunt in the south to Great Munden in the north. It includes Northaw, Hertingfordbury, Tewin and Datchworth in the west and Hunsdon in the east, a total of 18 towers with about 95 Association members. There are nine 6 bell towers, eight 8 bell, and one 10 bell tower. A District ringing meeting every second Saturday in the month with a programme of events including learners’ practices, evening meetings, and District quarter peals. There is also four 10 bell meetings a year held at All Saints Hertford. It is the aim of the District committee to visit each of the towers in the District at least once a year. A six-bell striking competition, the Boden Shield is held annually at a different tower each year, the winning teams representing the District in the Association competition, the Kimpton Cup.
